Tea time

Are you a tea drinker? I am some times but mostly I'm a coffee kind of gal. But evidently tea consumption is really on the rise. My tea booth does surprisingly well to be as small as it is. I can't believe how many tea bags I sell in a months time! I just changed the display on the main table in that booth on Sunday. It's all set for a tea party, can you tell?

Thought for a Friday

When I stand before God at the end of my life I would hope that I would have not a single bit of talent left and could say
" I used everything you gave me"
Erma Bombeck

Have you used some of your God given talents today?
Have you been a blessing to someone today?
Have you thanked God for today?

Forcing blooms

Here in Georgia, I still have no forsythia blooms nor jonquil blooms yet in my yard, phooey! Well, I "fixed" that. I bought some spring blooms at Hobby Lobby and I "forced" them into the basket on the front door. It looks like spring now, dad gum it! I'm sooooo ready for spring. Can you tell? lol Do you have spring blooms yet where you live? Tell me about them.

Thought for the Day!!

I know you've read this before but I think it bears repeating......

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - MERLOT in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"

Have a good week!!

I have never ever had to be reminded....

to eat! One can look at my plump old body and see that's so!! So I'm not sure what possessed me to buy these darling 8 " wood letters last year that spell EAT ( or ATE whichever you stack them, lol) to hang in my kitchen, other than they were done in a snazzy black and white harlequin pattern( my fav), they were a great price and a real conversation starter! Do you like them? I've never made any of these myself, but I did buy some cute paper and a wood "B" for my last name just last week.So we'll see...

Go big blue!

We've been in our home for 4 years and I loved the powder room I had, which was painted "chili pepper" red.Recently one of the booths at the group shop I'm in was repainted to "ming vase" blue. Gorgeous!!!! I love blue and always have! In our previous home, I had repainted the whole house numerous times and my DH had been teasing me in the past few months that he couldn't believe we hadn't repainted this house yet!!! Well... let the painting begin! I love the way this powder room turned out. It is a tiny room, if I could get in there good and take a good pic, I'd show you my two new prints over the potty of large red tulips in silvertone frames. They look great against the dark blue walls.

Vintage graphics

I find the graphics of the 1940's and 1950's so colorful and classy . I found this cocktail book recently and it has recipes from 1920- 1960. The graphics in it as well as the old cocktail shaker next to it are just great. I've been stocking a booth at the shop with this type of item, as well. Evidently I am not the only one that enjoys collecting vintage barware as it really has started selling. Do you collect anything "odd" like this?

Tagged!

My friend, Francie, at The Scented Cottage, www.thescentedcottage.blogspot.com has tagged me to tell 7 weird/random things about myself but she had forgotten she tagged me for the same tag on May 3, 2007. So if you're just dying to know more weird junk about me, just refer back! lolI looked at those weird things and those are all still the same stuff I still do! She asked me to tag seven others but all the folks I would normally tag have recently been tagged by other people! So if you are reading this and haven't been tagged consider yourself tagged.
