Holiday!

Back when I was still working, I had a friend who never used the word "vacation" when she went away, she always went on "holiday". Well, DH and I have been on "holiday", a great "holiday". We spent a week in the Santa Fe area in New Mexico. We hadn't been in that part of the country

before, we loved it! Very different than the southern part of the US where we live. Here's one of the first pictures we took, downtown Santa Fe, we stayed right around the corner from this museum. It is so fun to see where others live, eat new foods, try new adventures, but it was SOOOOOOOOOO good to be home too!

I always have a project in the works and right now is no different, but I've run up on lots of obstacles already and this project is just in the thinking stage! I'll let you in on my project when the obstacles are ironed out.

I finally got a chance at making one of the new "decorated letters" I see everywhere now. My first one isn't perfect by far but I like the way it looks. What do you think?You've seen this shot before, if you follow my blog as this is the back foyer/hall where the family comes/goes. I'm building my wall of B's ( last name letter) slowly.Here's a close-up:

Do you have a hobby that relaxes you? I do I realized about 8-10 years ago that painting glassware relaxes me so much. I love it. And the other perk is that I must be fairly good as they sell !! lol I recently painted these 4 tea glasses and have them at the shop to sell. They have hand painted cherries on them, hand wash only as they been fired but wouldn't do well in a dishwasher. They are $20 per set if you are interested in buying them. Not sure how much shipping would be but would be glad to check on that for you, just let me know via email. Thanks!

Tea time

Are you a tea drinker? I am some times but mostly I'm a coffee kind of gal. But evidently tea consumption is really on the rise. My tea booth does surprisingly well to be as small as it is. I can't believe how many tea bags I sell in a months time! I just changed the display on the main table in that booth on Sunday. It's all set for a tea party, can you tell?
